Why? The reason is in the title, “For Art’s Sake!” Paintings and photos decorate the tall walls of the Robert McLaughlin Gallery. The art surrounds a group of sculptures , all crafted by students of Durham Region.

Last season the Oshawa Civic hosted several sports games on its fields. This included Durham Region high school football games. Every time there was a game, the stands were packed and loud with cheering fans. The dark sky and bright lights from the game provided an electric environment.
